Kailas Manas Dham Trust proposes to build Kailas Maharudram (A Siva temple and Yog centre) in Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand.
Temples play an important role in the Indian society. It is a place of prayer, worship and spiritual vibrance to the common people. Kailas Maharudram is to be built not as prayer or worship place but as a vortex of energy where people can transform in a deeper way.
The pattern of the Kailas Maharudram in the shape and vastu of Mount Kailas will give a feeling and in understanding Lord Siva’s abode. Common people who cannot make a pilgrimage to Mount Kailas due to shortage of funds, time and ill-health will be benefited. Secondly the tradition of yog culture, both teaching and practices have been overpowered by western yog practices. The traditional yog culture of Guru-Shisya in teaching and practices is to keep alive through participation of higher saints.
Mount Kailas is abode of Adiyogi – the Lord Siva. Lord Siva is is also known as an exponent of yog, tantra and other super-natural sciences. Mount Kailas is regarded as the treasure house of human conciousness.
The layout of Kailas Maharudram is not simply in geometrically shape but based on the Vastu science and shape of the Mount Kailas. The uniqueness of the Shivalinga is that it will be five-facet (Panchanan) made up of a single high density dark brown granite stone. The fifth face which is brought from the North side of Mount Kailas will be installed in the middle of the Shivlinga. The Jalheri (base) of the Shivlinga will be in the shape and vastu of Mount Kailas.
Surrounded, the Shivlinga will be Manas Kund, a water body in the shape and vastu of the Lake Manasaovar which will be embedded with Manasarovar stones. It will give the impression that Shivlinga is floating on the water.
The pathway around Kailas Maharudram will be flanked with 108 small Shivlingas on one side and ‘Wheel of Panchakshra Mantra’ on the other side of the pathway.
The parikrama leading to Kailas Maharudram will communicate a sense of Kailas Kora (parikrama).
